Biography
Jose Antonio Dominguez Bandera (no, we haven't forgotten the last letter or his surname) was born in Malaga, Spain on August 10th 1960. He made his movie debut aged 22 in the Spanish film Pestanas Postizas (1982) and slowly began to make a name for himself in European cinema.
His Sexiest Moments
1. Dueling with Catherine Zeta Jones in the Mask of Zorro (1998) whilst undressing her with his sword. There is real chemistry on screen and in Hollywood movies that is increasingly rare.
2. Exploding onto the screen in Desperado (1995) alongside Salma Hayek looking red hot in a black suit and white t-shirt. This is one action movie that's worth watching.
3. Original Sin (2001) may have been a turkey of a movie but Antonio and Angelina Jolie really turn up the heat in the love scenes. Not one to watch with your mum.
Three Things You Never Knew
1. As a boy he dreamed of playing professional football rather than becoming an actor. However, he was forced to change his career plans when he broke his foot in his early teens.
2. He's the son in law of the legendary actress Tippi Hedren who starred in classics such as The Birds (1963) and Marnie (1964). She, of course, was Melanie Griffith's mother.
3. His full name is José Antonio DomÃnguez Bandera. Dominguez was the surname of his father and Bandera the surname of his mother. It's unclear why Antonio decided to add 's' onto the end of Bandera.
Looks
Madonna couldn't believe how handsome Antonio was when she first met him. And she's one lady who's certainly seen her fair share of men in her time. Although Antonio's lost some of his youthful sparkle, most men would still threatened by him. Indeed, Marc Anthony was said to be more than a little uneasy about his wife, Jennifer Lopez, acting alongside Antonio on a forthcoming film.
Body
You can't expect a man in his mid forties to be as toned as he was twenty years ago. However, you can expect him to keep the pounds off and let everything go just yet. In this respect, Antonio certainly doesn't let you down. He shows very few signs of his advancing years and could still stop traffic if he slowly unbuttoned his shirt.. and then his trousers.. maybe we'll stop there.
Lifestyle
Antonio is as likeable off screen as he is on. His marriage to actress Melanie Griffith was widely tipped to fail before the couple had even returned from their honeymoon. However, Antonio and Melanie have defied the cynics and stayed together. There have obviously been some problems in their relationship such as Melanie's over eagerness to go under the plastic surgeon's knife. Like many women before her, she has almost ruined her beautiful face in an attempt to turn back the clock. Antonio has sensibly forbid her from getting anything else done. But it must be hard when your husband is as good looking as Mr Banderas.
Career
Antonio isn't amongst the greatest actors in the world but he's definitely not just a pretty face. He is an accomplished performer who was making Spanish movies long before he shot to fame in the English speaking world. He is also a tremendously popular actor amongst the movie going public, a point emphasized by the success of the Zorro movies.

Talk about a poor school system, where Geography must be an optional credit is some schools! With a pathetic second place in non-importance for History.
1A "Mexican" person is either someone who was born in Mexico,(the southest county in North America) or someone who has been naturalized as a Mexican citizen, which Antonio Banderas is neither.
Antonio as it's says later in the text was born in MALAGA, SPAIN,(Spain, which is a country in EUROPE) which DOES not make him a "Mexican" actor, but either a "Malagueño" (a native of Malaga) or a "Spaniard" or "Español", not a "Spanish" either, because a "Spanish" is the term wrongfully used to refer to the "Castilian" language, which is the main language spoken in Latin America, and certain areas of Spain.
